Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide essential support to patients in various settings, including care homes and home care environments. This role requires effective communication skills in English, a commitment to delivering high-quality care, and the ability to follow care plans accurately. A valid driving licence is preferred for those assisting with home visits.

Duties

Assist patients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility. Support the implementation of individual care plans tailored to each patient's needs. Maintain accurate records of patient progress and report any changes to the healthcare team. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals to ensure a cohesive approach to care. Perform basic IT tasks related to patient documentation and scheduling. Drive to patients' homes when required, ensuring safe transport and adherence to all road regulations. Participate in training sessions and continuous professional development opportunities.

Experience

Previous experience in a healthcare setting, particularly in home care or care homes, is highly desirable. Familiarity with creating and following care plans is an advantage. Strong communication skills in English are essential for interacting with patients and colleagues effectively. A valid driving licence is beneficial for those required to travel between locations.
