We are seeking compassionate, dedicated, and reliable Care Assistants to join our friendly team in PE6. This is an exciting opportunity for those looking to make a real difference in the lives of individuals requiring support with all aspects of daily living, while enjoying a rewarding and fulfilling career.

We're seeking a compassionate Support Worker to assist a young female (19) lives at home with her mum and siblings. She has quadriplegic Cerebral Palsy and is a wheelchair user. She loves having her hair and nails done, playing with her dolls, and relaxing with her favourite TV shows. She also looks forward to her weekly hydrotherapy and private physiotherapy sessions, which bring her a great deal of enjoyment and sensory stimulation. she is primarily gastrostomy-fed and uses eye-gaze technology for communication.

This role is about much more than care; it's about promoting independence, empowering her to engage with the world around her, and supporting her to thrive. The client will be going to college in the future, so you will support her in the classroom, helping her participate in lessons and navigate the college environment.

Hours:

Monday to Thursday 8.00am to 4.00pm

Key Responsibilities:



Assist with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and toileting.

Support with mobility, repositioning and safe transfers.

Help with daily living activities such as meal preparation, shopping, and light housekeeping.

Build positive relationships with service users, encouraging their independence and dignity. Also providing emotional support and companionship.

Monitor and report on changes in health and well-being to senior staff.

What We're Looking For:



A compassionate nature and genuine desire to help others.

A minimum of 3 years care experience is essential. Previous knowledge around Cerebral palsy and learning disabilities is preferred.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and bank holidays.

A full Enhanced DBS check will be required for all successful candidates.
