Responsibilities

Assist residents with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming. Support individuals with mobility and physical activities, ensuring safety at all times. Implement and adhere to personalised care plans tailored to each individual's needs. Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes in the health or behaviour of residents. Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care. Participate in training sessions and meetings to enhance skills and knowledge within the healthcare field. Drive to various locations as required for home care visits, ensuring timely arrival and adherence to scheduled appointments.

Experience

Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is advantageous but not mandatory. A strong understanding of English is essential for effective communication with residents and colleagues. Proficiency in IT systems for maintaining records and documentation is preferred. Excellent communication skills are vital for building rapport with residents and their families. A valid driving licence is desirable for those involved in home care duties.
