Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to residents in a care home setting. A valid driving licence is preferred for this role, as it may involve travel between locations.

Responsibilities

Assist residents with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility support. Implement and follow care plans tailored to individual needs, ensuring the highest standard of care is maintained. Support residents in maintaining their independence and dignity while providing emotional support and companionship. Document and report any changes in residents' health or behaviour to the nursing staff promptly. Maintain a clean and safe environment for residents, adhering to health and safety regulations. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care delivery. Utilise IT systems for record-keeping and communication purposes effectively.

Requirements

Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is desirable but not essential. Strong communication skills in English are necessary for effective interaction with residents and team members. Basic IT skills are required for documentation and reporting tasks. A valid driving licence is preferred for potential travel between care locations. A compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others is essential. Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends if required, to meet the needs of residents.
