We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to our service users, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. Responsibilities
Assisting with daily living activities such as personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility support
Supporting service users with their nutritional needs, including meal preparation and feeding
Monitoring and recording health conditions, reporting any changes to senior staff
Providing emotional support and companionship to service users
Assisting with medication management in accordance with care plans
Maintaining accurate documentation of care provided using IT systems
Communicating effectively with service users, families, and healthcare teams
Driving as required to support home care visits or attend appointments
Requirements
Previous experience in a care home or home care environment is desirable but not essential; training will be provided
Valid driving licence is preferred for roles involving travel between locations
Good command of English, both written and spoken
Strong IT skills for documentation and communication purposes
Excellent communication skills to build rapport with service users and colleagues
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Compassionate attitude with a genuine desire to improve the quality of life for others
