Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to individuals in care homes and home care settings, assisting with daily living activities and promoting the well-being of our clients. Responsibilities

Assist clients with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming. Support clients with mobility and transfers, ensuring their safety and comfort. Help with meal preparation and feeding as required, adhering to any specific dietary needs outlined in care plans. Maintain accurate records of client care and report any changes in health or behaviour to senior staff. Engage clients in social activities and provide companionship to enhance their quality of life. Follow care plans meticulously to ensure that each client's individual needs are met. Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients, adhering to health and safety regulations.

Skills

Proficient in English with strong communication skills for effective interaction with clients, families, and team members. Experience or knowledge of working in a care home or home care setting is advantageous. Ability to understand and implement care plans accurately. IT skills for maintaining records and using relevant software applications. A valid driving licence is preferred for those providing home care services, enabling travel between client locations. Excellent interpersonal skills to build rapport with clients and their families, ensuring a supportive atmosphere.
