Due to the nature of the role and client preferences,
female carers
are required. Applicants should ideally be
drivers with access to a vehicle
, although local non-driving carers may also be considered.
Key Responsibilities
Provide
companionship and emotional support
, promoting dignity, independence, and wellbeing
Assist with
personal care
, including washing, dressing, toileting, and continence support
Support with
medication administration
, in line with care plans and company policies
Assist with
mobility support
, including safe transfers and repositioning
Prepare light meals and encourage adequate nutrition and hydration
Carry out
light housekeeping tasks
related to the client's care
Monitor and report any changes in the client's physical or emotional wellbeing
Maintain accurate daily care records using the care management system
Work collaboratively with family members, healthcare professionals, and the wider care team
Adhere at all times to
CQC standards
, safeguarding policies, and health and safety requirements
Essential Requirements
Female applicant (genuine occupational requirement)
Compassionate, patient, and reliable with a caring nature
Ability to deliver personal care with dignity and respect
Willingness to support medication administration (training provided if required)
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Right to work in the UK
Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)
Desirable Criteria
Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
Previous experience in domiciliary care, healthcare, or support work
NVQ/QCF Level 2 or 3 in Health & Social Care (or willingness to work towards)
Knowledge of dementia, elderly care, or long-term conditions
