Job Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to individuals in care homes or home care settings, ensuring their comfort and well-being. You will be responsible for assisting with daily living activities, implementing care plans, and fostering a supportive environment for our clients. Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with healthcare professionals are vital for success in this position.

Responsibilities

Assist clients with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming. Support individuals in daily living activities such as meal preparation, medication management, and mobility assistance. Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs and preferences. Implement care plans as directed by healthcare professionals, ensuring that all aspects of the plan are followed accurately. Maintain accurate records of client progress and any changes in their condition. Collaborate with other team members to provide high-quality care in a safe environment. Utilise IT systems for documentation and communication purposes as required. Drive clients to appointments or social activities when necessary.

Requirements

Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is preferred but not essential. Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written. Ability to understand and implement care plans effectively. A compassionate approach towards providing support to individuals in need. IT proficiency for maintaining records and documentation. A valid driving licence is advantageous for transporting clients as needed. Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends if required.

Pay: 12.21-15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 per week
