Job Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to individuals in care homes and home care settings, assisting with daily living activities and ensuring the highest standard of care is maintained. Your ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively with healthcare professionals will be vital in delivering personalised care plans tailored to each individual's needs.

Duties

Assist residents with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming. Support individuals in daily living activities such as meal preparation and feeding. Help maintain a clean and safe environment for residents. Document and update care plans accurately, ensuring all information is current. Communicate effectively with residents, their families, and other healthcare professionals to provide the best possible care. Drive to various locations as required for home care visits. Utilise IT systems for record-keeping and communication purposes.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is desirable but not essential. A valid driving licence is preferred for roles involving travel. Proficiency in English is required for effective communication with residents and staff. Strong IT skills to manage documentation and use electronic health records. Excellent communication skills, demonstrating empathy and understanding towards residents' needs. A commitment to delivering high-quality care and adhering to health and safety regulations.
