Overview


We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Senior Healthcare Assistant and Healthcare assistance to join our team.

As a senior care worker, you'll typically manage a team of care assistants including recruiting and training new staff. You'll also be the link to service managers and attend team meetings. You'll write care plans and use your excellent communication skills to update families on their relative's progress. Undertake and assist in Rota Management. Staff Spot Checks . You'll enjoy using your organisational skills to deliver improved care outcomes.
What will your days involve?

Daily tasks will vary but could involve: Supporting service users with daily activities like letter writing, paying bills, collecting benefits Coordinating with professional staff to carry out care plans etc. Undertaking light cleaning and domestic duties including meal preparation Creating interest and activities to engage clients Serving meals to clients and assisting with feeding if needed Helping service users to dress, undress, wash, use the toilet etc. Taking responsibility for the shift and for the service while on duty Overseeing and monitoring care workers and home carers Responding to emergencies and providing guidance and support to care workers

As a Health care assistance In this role, you will provide essential support to patients in both care homes and home care settings. Your primary focus will be on assisting individuals with daily living activities, ensuring their comfort and well-being while promoting their independence. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills in English, a basic understanding of IT systems, and the ability to follow care plans effectively.

A full UK Driving License is a requirement for both roles for Senior Healthcare assistant and a Healthcare assistant

Responsibilities



Assist patients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming. Support individuals with mobility and physical activities, ensuring their safety at all times. Help with meal preparation and feeding as needed, while monitoring dietary requirements. Maintain accurate records of patient care and make detailed reports on any changes in condition to the healthcare team. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to implement care plans tailored to each patient's needs. Provide companionship and emotional support to patients, fostering a positive environment. To report any concerns to the senior carer of that area relating to significant changes in the client's health and support needs. To contribute to the clients review process, along with the senior carers and all other involved parties, by using your knowledge of assisting the clients in meeting the desired outcomes. To understand the arrangements for ensuring that clients are safeguarded against the risk of abuse. To report any incidents or accidents to your senior carer and management in accordance with Company policy and quality monitoring processes. To identify risk of infection or contamination and alert concerns to your senior carer for further assessment. To assist with the general standards of hygiene and cleanliness in accordance with planned care and support. To ensure that as far as reasonably practicable where equipment is provided as part of the care and support plan it is safe and fit for purpose. To assist or administer the clients medication in line with Healthrites Care Solutions Policy and Procedures. To undertake the appropriate level of training and regular updates to stay up to date of best practice with regard to medication and other aspects of care. To follow actions identified in Risk Assessments, in accordance with both relevant HealthritesCare Solution policies and standard legislative Health and Safety requirements. To report any observed faults, defects or damage to the premises, fixtures and fittings or equipment to your senior carer. To be aware of and follow the structure and management of Healthrites Care Solutions. To know how, and where to access HealthritesCare Solutions policies and procedures and relevant documentation. To know the arrangements in place for obtaining and acting in accordance with the consent of the clients. To be aware of local and national services and sources of support so that information can be provided to clients upon request. To attend staff meetings (a minimum of 4 per year), as required, for information about the service, support and exchange of ideas. To be able to work flexibly and under pressure. To be able to communicate effectively with clients, colleagues and management.

Experience



Previous experience in a healthcare setting is essential. Strong communication skills in English are required for effective interaction with patients and colleagues. Basic IT skills are beneficial for maintaining records and using healthcare software systems. Familiarity with care plans and the ability to follow them accurately is advantageous. Experience in either a care home or home care environment is preferred but not mandatory; a willingness to learn is essential.
