Responsibilities

Assist clients with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming. Support clients in daily living activities such as meal preparation, medication management, and mobility assistance. Implement individualised care plans under the supervision of healthcare professionals. Maintain accurate records of client progress and report any changes in health or behaviour. Foster a safe and supportive environment for clients by adhering to health and safety regulations. Communicate effectively with clients, their families, and other healthcare team members to ensure continuity of care. Drive to clients' homes when required, ensuring timely arrival and adherence to scheduled appointments. Utilise IT systems for documentation and communication purposes.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is desirable but not essential. A valid driving licence is preferred for roles requiring travel between locations. Understanding of care plans and the ability to follow them accurately. Proficiency in English is required for effective communication with clients and colleagues. Strong IT skills for maintaining records and using electronic health systems. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact positively with clients and their families. A compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others improve their quality of life.
