Job Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to individuals in care homes and home care settings, ensuring their comfort and well-being. As a Healthcare Assistant, you will work closely with healthcare professionals to implement care plans and assist clients with daily activities, promoting their independence and quality of life.

Duties

Assist clients with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming. Support individuals in maintaining their daily routines and activities. Help with meal preparation and feeding as required. Monitor and document clients' health status and report any changes to the healthcare team. Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement effective care plans tailored to each client's needs. Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive environment. Maintain a clean and safe living environment for clients. Drive clients to appointments or social activities when necessary.

Requirements

Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is preferred but not essential. Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written. Basic IT skills for documentation and reporting purposes. A valid driving licence is advantageous for transporting clients. Ability to work effectively as part of a team while also being self-motivated. Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others. Understanding of care plans and the ability to follow them accurately.
