We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to individuals in care homes and home care settings, assisting with daily living activities and ensuring the well-being of our clients. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a strong understanding of care plans, and the ability to work effectively within a team.
Duties
Assist clients with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
Support clients in maintaining their independence by encouraging participation in daily activities.
Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs and preferences.
Follow care plans meticulously to ensure personalised support for each client.
Document client progress and any changes in condition accurately.
Collaborate with healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality care.
Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients by adhering to health and safety regulations.
Drive clients to appointments or social activities as required.
Qualifications
Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is desirable but not essential.
Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
Basic IT skills for documentation and communication purposes.
Ability to work as part of a team while also being self-motivated.
A valid driving licence is advantageous for transporting clients.
A caring attitude with a genuine desire to help others improve their quality of life.
