We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to individuals in both care home and home care settings. You will assist with daily living activities, support the implementation of care plans, and ensure that our clients receive the utmost respect and dignity. This position requires excellent communication skills, a strong sense of empathy, and the ability to work effectively within a team.
Responsibilities
Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
Support clients in their daily activities, promoting independence and well-being.
Implement care plans as directed by healthcare professionals, ensuring all needs are met.
Maintain accurate records of client progress and any changes in condition.
Communicate effectively with clients, families, and other healthcare staff to ensure continuity of care.
Drive clients to appointments or social activities as required.
Ensure a clean and safe environment for all clients by adhering to health and safety protocols.
Skills
Proficient in English with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Experience in a care home or home care setting is advantageous but not essential.
Familiarity with creating and following care plans is beneficial.
Strong IT skills for maintaining records and documentation.
A valid driving licence is preferred for transporting clients when necessary.
