Job Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our clients in there homes. This position requires effective communication skills, the ability to follow care plans, and a commitment to enhancing the wellbeing of those we serve.

Duties

Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and meal preparation. Support clients in following their individual care plans to ensure their specific needs are met. Drive clients to appointments or social activities as required, ensuring their safety and comfort during transport. Communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals to provide updates on client progress and any concerns. Maintain accurate records of client care and report any changes in condition to the appropriate personnel. Utilise IT systems for documentation and communication purposes, ensuring confidentiality is upheld at all times. Participate in training sessions and team meetings to continually improve care practices.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a healthcare or caregiving role is preferred but not essential. Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. A valid driving licence is advantageous for transporting clients. Familiarity with care plans and an understanding of home care practices is desirable. A caring attitude with a genuine desire to help others improve their quality of life.
