Job Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to individuals in care homes and home care settings, ensuring their comfort and well-being. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills in English, have a good understanding of IT systems, and be able to effectively contribute to care plans.

Duties

Assist residents with daily living activities including personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility. Support individuals in maintaining their independence while ensuring safety and comfort. Communicate effectively with residents, their families, and other healthcare professionals to provide the best possible care. Document care provided and report any changes in residents' conditions to the nursing staff. Participate in the development and implementation of individual care plans tailored to each resident's needs. Drive to various locations as required for home care visits, ensuring timely arrival at appointments. Maintain a clean and safe environment for residents by adhering to health and safety regulations.

Requirements

Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is preferred but not essential. Ability to communicate clearly in English, both verbally and in writing. Basic IT skills for documentation and communication purposes. A valid driving licence is advantageous for roles involving travel between locations. Understanding of care plans and the ability to follow them accurately. A compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others. Flexibility to work various shifts as required by the needs of the service.
