Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant / live-in carer to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to patients in a care home or home care setting, assisting with daily activities and ensuring their comfort and well-being. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, the ability to follow care plans, and a commitment to delivering high-quality care.

Duties

Assist patients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility. Support the implementation of individual care plans tailored to each patient's needs. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care. Monitor and report changes in patients' conditions to the appropriate healthcare staff. Maintain accurate records of patient care and activities as required. Drive to various locations as needed for home care visits. Utilise IT systems for documentation and communication purposes.

Requirements

Previous experience in a healthcare setting is preferred but not essential. Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written. Ability to drive and hold a valid driving licence. Familiarity with care home environments and home care practices is advantageous. Basic understanding of IT systems for record keeping and communication. A compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others. Ability to work flexible hours as required.

Pay: 24,420.00-31,821.01 per year
