Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to patients in a care home setting, ensuring their comfort and well-being. You will work closely with healthcare professionals to implement care plans and assist with daily living activities. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills and a commitment to delivering high-quality care.

Responsibilities

Assist patients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility. Support the implementation of individual care plans tailored to each patient's needs. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care. Maintain accurate records of patient progress and report any changes in condition to the nursing staff. Drive patients to appointments or activities as required, ensuring their safety during transportation. Help maintain a clean and safe environment within the care home or during home visits. Participate in training sessions and team meetings to enhance skills and knowledge in patient care.

Skills

Strong verbal communication skills in English, enabling effective interaction with patients and colleagues. Ability to drive, providing transportation for patients when necessary. Familiarity with IT systems for maintaining patient records and documentation. Experience in a care home or home care setting is advantageous but not essential. Understanding of care plans and the ability to follow them accurately. A compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others improve their quality of life.
