Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to residents in a care home setting, ensuring their comfort and well-being. This position requires strong communication skills, the ability to follow care plans, and a commitment to delivering exceptional support to individuals in need.

Responsibilities

Assist residents with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility. Support the implementation of individual care plans tailored to each resident's needs. Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes in residents' conditions to senior staff. Foster a warm and welcoming environment for residents, promoting their dignity and independence. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care delivery. Engage residents in social activities and encourage participation in community events. Maintain cleanliness and organisation within the care home environment. Drive residents to appointments or activities as required, ensuring their safety during transport.

Experience

Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is preferred but not essential. A strong understanding of care plans and the ability to follow them accurately. Proficiency in English, both spoken and written, is essential for effective communication with residents and team members. Basic IT skills are beneficial for maintaining records and communication within the team. A valid driving licence is advantageous for transporting residents as needed. Excellent interpersonal skills with a genuine passion for providing compassionate care.
