Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to individuals in both home care and care home settings, assisting with daily activities and ensuring the well-being of our clients. Your ability to communicate effectively in English and your willingness to drive to various locations will be key to your success in this position.

Duties

Assist clients with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming. Support clients in daily living activities such as meal preparation, medication management, and mobility assistance. Develop and maintain care plans tailored to individual client needs, ensuring that all requirements are met. Communicate effectively with clients, their families, and healthcare professionals to provide updates on client progress and any concerns. Maintain accurate records of client care and report any changes in health or behaviour to the appropriate personnel. Ensure a safe and clean environment for clients by adhering to health and safety regulations. Participate in training sessions and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge in the healthcare field.

Qualifications

Previous experience in home care or a care home setting is preferred but not essential. Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. IT skills for maintaining electronic records and communicating with staff members. A valid driving licence is desirable for travelling between client locations. A compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others improve their quality of life.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From 12.45 per hour

Expected hours: 13 - 26 per week
