Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to residents in a care home setting, ensuring their comfort and well-being. This position requires strong communication skills, a good understanding of care plans, and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. A valid driving licence is preferred for this role, as it may involve transporting residents.

Duties

Assist residents with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming. Support the implementation of individual care plans tailored to each resident's needs. Provide companionship and emotional support to residents, fostering a positive environment. Monitor and report changes in residents' health or behaviour to the nursing staff. Maintain accurate records of care provided and assist with administrative tasks as required. Ensure cleanliness and safety within the care home environment, adhering to health and safety regulations. Utilise IT systems for documentation and communication purposes effectively.

Qualifications

Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written. Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being self-motivated. Basic IT skills for record keeping and communication tasks. A valid driving licence is advantageous for transporting residents when necessary. A compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others is essential for success in this role.
