Job Description

We currently have an opportunity for Domicilliary Care Assistants who are compassionate and adaptable to join our Domiciliary Care team for clients in St Neots and surrounding areas. No COS available.

Responsibilities:
Provide a high quality, professional service of care to our clients .
Treat our clients with dignity and respect.
Enable clients to remain in the community, to be supported and maintained safely in their own home and thereby enhance quality of life.
Support our clients to keep independent and healthy and encourage them to be part of the community within the home.
Help clients to maintain relationships with neighbours, familiar activities and surroundings, providing social contact, especially for residents who live alone. Encourage clients individuality and independence.
Treat others as individuals with unique and diverse needs.
Assist with all aspects of care, including personal care, end of life care, and nutritional help.
Record care entries on care plan system.
Support clients to eat and drink.
Get to know clients so as to comfort, assist and give reassurance when needed.
Assist other care workers and professionals to provide care for clients .
Assist with tidying, cleaning, laundry and other domestic tasks when needed.

Skills/Experience:
You need to be someone who enjoys working with older people and can have an empathy with them;
You need to be able to work in a team and be willing to take on any task to provide an excellent level of care to our clients;
You need to be well-organised, adaptable and practical

Hours:

Full and Part time Shifts available to cover sickness, absence, holiday and relief.
