Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality support to individuals in care homes and home care settings, assisting with daily activities and ensuring their well-being. Duties

Assist residents or clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and mobility support. Support the implementation of individualised care plans tailored to each person's needs. Help with medication reminders and basic health monitoring under supervision. Maintain clear and effective communication with clients, families, and healthcare professionals. Support clients with daily activities including meal preparation and light housekeeping. Drive between different care locations as required, ensuring timely and reliable transportation. Record observations and report any changes in clients' conditions accurately and promptly. Uphold health and safety standards in all aspects of work, including infection control procedures.

Requirements

Valid driving licence with reliable access to a vehicle is preferred. Experience working within a care home or home care environment is advantageous. Knowledge of care plans and ability to follow specified procedures diligently. Good command of English, both written and spoken, for effective communication. Basic IT skills for maintaining accurate records and documentation. Excellent communication skills to build rapport with clients, families, and colleagues. Compassionate attitude with a genuine desire to support vulnerable individuals. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating flexibility and organisational skills.
