About the Role



We are looking for a compassionate, reliable, and dedicated Support Worker to join our team in Sudbury, supporting a young boy with complex health needs. The ideal candidate will be passionate about providing person-centred care, ensuring the child's comfort, safety, and overall wellbeing at all times.

You will be working within a warm, supportive home environment where your care will make a real difference to the child's daily life.

Hours Available



Term Time:



Thursdays & Fridays:

06:30 - 12:30 14:30 - 22:30
(Total: 14 hours per week)

Weekends & School Holidays:



06:30 - 14:30

and

14:30 - 22:30

Thursdays & Fridays during holidays:

same hours as above
(Flexibility to cover additional shifts is an advantage.)

Key Responsibilities



Provide personal care and emotional support in line with individual care plans. Assist with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility. Support with feeding, including PEG feeding. Administer and manage medications safely. Monitor for and respond appropriately to seizures, following care protocols. Engage the child in safe and enjoyable activities to promote development and wellbeing. Maintain accurate care records and report any concerns promptly. Work collaboratively with family members and healthcare professionals.
Essential Competencies

Seizure Management Manual Handling Medication Management PEG Feeding

About You



Previous experience working with children or young people with additional needs is desirable. Caring, patient, and empathetic nature. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Reliable and punctual with a flexible approach to working hours. Willing to undertake relevant training as required.
