Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. This role involves providing high-quality support to individuals in care homes, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, be able to work independently and as part of a team, and have a genuine interest in caring for others. Duties

Assist residents with daily activities such as personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility Support the development and implementation of individualised care plans Provide companionship and emotional support to residents or clients Ensure the safety and comfort of individuals under your care at all times Maintain accurate records of care provided using IT systems Communicate effectively with team members, residents, and their families regarding care needs Support with medication administration as per training and regulations Assist with light domestic tasks to maintain a clean and welcoming environment Travel between different care settings as required, utilising your driving skills where applicable

Experience

Previous experience working within a care home or home care environment is desirable but not essential; full training will be provided Knowledge of care plans and ability to follow them accurately Good IT skills for record keeping and communication purposes Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal Valid driving licence is advantageous for travel between locations Ability to demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills and empathy towards residents or clients Awareness of health and safety procedures relevant to healthcare settings
