Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to residents in a care home setting. This position involves supporting individuals with daily living activities, ensuring their comfort and well-being, and assisting with the implementation of care plans. The Healthcare Assistant will work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to deliver exceptional care while fostering a supportive environment. The candidate should be ideally from Telford area, or nearby areas. Should have own car to commute to the locations where company assigns. Presently hiring on zero hour contract but will be providing full time work for the right candidate at the earliest.

Responsibilities

Assist residents with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming. Support individuals in daily living activities such as meal preparation, feeding, and mobility assistance. Communicate effectively with residents to understand their needs and preferences. Implement and monitor care plans under the guidance of healthcare professionals. Maintain accurate records of residents' health and progress in accordance with care plans. Drive residents to appointments or activities as required, ensuring their safety during transport. Collaborate with team members to ensure a clean and safe environment within the care home. Engage residents in social activities to promote mental and emotional well-being.

Skills

Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with residents and colleagues. Ability to drive and transport residents safely when necessary. Familiarity with IT systems for maintaining records and documentation related to care plans. Experience or knowledge of home care practices is advantageous. Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others. Strong organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently within a busy environment.

Pay: 12.21-13.21 per hour

Expected hours: 10 - 40 per week
