We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. This role involves providing high-quality support to individuals in care homes and home care settings. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, be proficient in IT, and have a genuine desire to improve the lives of those in their care. Duties
Assist with daily living activities such as personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility support
Support the implementation and review of individual care plans in collaboration with healthcare professionals
Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, ensuring their well-being and comfort
Administer medication as per care instructions and document accurately
Assist with meal preparation and feeding where necessary
Maintain accurate records of care provided using IT systems
Support clients with mobility, including the safe use of mobility aids and transportation if required
Drive clients to appointments or activities, ensuring safe transportation at all times
Report any changes in health or behaviour to senior staff promptly
Skills
Proven ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing
Strong IT skills for maintaining accurate records and updating care plans
Excellent organisational skills to manage multiple responsibilities efficiently
Good driving skills with a valid driving licence preferred for transportation duties
Experience working within a care home or home care environment is advantageous
Knowledge of care plans and the ability to adapt support accordingly
Compassionate approach with excellent communication skills to build trust with clients
Ability to work independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary team
