We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team at Bennfield House. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to residents in a care home setting, ensuring their comfort and well-being. This position requires strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with healthcare professionals to implement care plans effectively.
Responsibilities
Assist residents with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility.
Support the implementation of individual care plans tailored to each resident's needs.
Monitor and report changes in residents' health status to nursing staff.
Maintain a clean and safe environment for residents.
Engage residents in social and recreational activities to promote mental well-being.
Document care provided accurately using IT systems as required.
Communicate effectively with residents, families, and team members to ensure high standards of care.
Requirements
Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is desirable.
Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
Basic IT skills for documentation and reporting purposes.
Ability to work as part of a team and demonstrate empathy towards residents.
