We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. As a vital member of our care staff, you will play an essential role in providing high-quality support to residents in a care home setting. Your responsibilities will include assisting with daily living activities, helping to implement care plans, and ensuring the well-being of those in your care. This position requires strong communication skills, a commitment to delivering excellent care, and the ability to work effectively within a team.

Responsibilities

Assist residents with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming. Support individuals with mobility and transfers as needed. Help implement and monitor care plans tailored to each resident's needs. Maintain accurate records of daily activities and any changes in residents' conditions. Communicate effectively with residents, families, and other healthcare professionals. Ensure a clean and safe environment for all residents by adhering to health and safety protocols. Participate in training sessions to enhance your skills and knowledge in healthcare practices. Drive residents to appointments or activities as required, ensuring their comfort and safety during transport.

Experience

Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is desirable but not essential. A good understanding of care plans and the ability to follow them accurately is beneficial. Proficiency in English is required for effective communication with residents and colleagues. Basic IT skills are advantageous for maintaining records and documentation. Strong interpersonal skills are necessary for building rapport with residents and their families.
