Job Summary


We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to individuals in both home care and care home settings. This position requires effective communication skills, a commitment to following care plans, and the ability to work collaboratively with healthcare professionals and families. OWN CAR AND DRIVING AND EXPERIENCE IS ESSENTIAL

Duties



Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and meal preparation. Support clients in following their individual care plans to ensure their health and wellbeing. Drive clients to appointments or social activities as required, ensuring their safety and comfort during transport. Maintain accurate records of client progress and report any changes in condition to the supervising nurse or healthcare professional. Communicate effectively with clients, families, and team members, demonstrating empathy and understanding at all times. Utilise IT systems for documentation and communication purposes as necessary. Participate in ongoing training and development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge in healthcare practices.

Qualifications



Previous experience in a healthcare setting is preferred but not essential; training will be provided. Ability to communicate fluently in English, both verbally and in writing. A valid driving licence is desirable for transporting clients. Familiarity with care plans and an understanding of home care or care home environments is advantageous. Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on providing compassionate care. Basic IT skills for documentation purposes are required.

Contract length: 60 months

Pay: 24,420.00-26,000.00 per year

Expected hours: 20 - 40 per week
