Job Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to individuals in home care settings, ensuring their comfort and well-being. You will be responsible for assisting with daily activities, implementing care plans, and fostering a positive environment for our clients.

Duties

Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming. Support clients in daily living activities, including meal preparation and medication management. Implement and follow individual care plans tailored to each client's needs. Communicate effectively with clients, their families, and other healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care. Maintain accurate records of client progress and report any changes to the supervising nurse or healthcare professional. Drive clients to appointments or social activities as required. Utilise IT systems for documentation and communication purposes. Foster a warm and supportive atmosphere within the care home or during home visits.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a healthcare setting is desirable but not essential; training will be provided. Strong communication skills in English are required to interact effectively with clients and team members. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. A valid driving licence is preferred for those involved in transporting clients. Familiarity with care plans and the ability to understand client needs is beneficial. A genuine passion for providing high-quality care and support to individuals in need.
