We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to residents in a care home setting. This position requires effective communication skills, the ability to follow care plans, and a commitment to enhancing the well-being of our clients. A driving licence is preferred for facilitating home care visits.
Responsibilities
Assist residents with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility support.
Implement care plans as directed by healthcare professionals to ensure the needs of each resident are met.
Communicate effectively with residents, their families, and team members to provide updates on health and well-being.
Maintain accurate records of care provided and any changes in residents' conditions using IT systems.
Support residents in engaging in social activities and promote their independence.
Drive to various locations as required for home care visits, ensuring safe transport for clients.
Adhere to health and safety regulations while maintaining a clean and safe environment for residents.
Experience
Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is desirable but not essential.
Strong communication skills in English are required to interact effectively with residents and colleagues.
Familiarity with creating and following care plans is advantageous.
A willingness to learn and adapt within a dynamic healthcare environment is essential.
