Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Weekend Healthcare Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will provide essential support to patients in a variety of settings, including home care and care homes. This role requires strong communication skills, the ability to follow care plans, and a commitment to delivering high-quality care. The Weekend Healthcare Assistant will work closely with healthcare professionals to ensure that patients receive the best possible support.

Responsibilities

Assist service users with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility. Support the implementation of individual care plans tailored to each service users needs. Communicate effectively with service users, families, and healthcare team members to ensure continuity of care. Monitor and record service users progress and report any changes in condition to the appropriate healthcare professionals. Maintain a clean and safe environment for service users by adhering to health and safety regulations. Utilise IT systems for documentation and communication purposes as necessary.

Requirements

Previous experience in home care or a similar role is essential. Strong communication skills in English are required for effective interaction with patients and colleagues. Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being capable of working independently when needed. Familiarity with care plans and the ability to follow them accurately is highly desirable. A valid driving licence. A caring attitude with a genuine desire to help others is essential. Flexibility in working hours may be required based on service users needs.
