Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care to residents in a care home setting, ensuring their comfort and well-being. This position requires strong communication skills, the ability to follow care plans, and a commitment to delivering exceptional support to individuals in need.

Responsibilities

Assist residents with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility support. Implement and follow individual care plans to meet the specific needs of each resident. Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes in residents' conditions to the nursing staff. Support residents in social activities and encourage participation in community events. Ensure a clean and safe environment by adhering to health and safety regulations. Communicate effectively with residents, families, and team members to foster a supportive atmosphere. Drive residents to appointments or activities as required, ensuring their safety during transport.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is preferred but not essential. Strong English communication skills, both verbal and written, are necessary for effective interaction with residents and staff. Basic IT skills for maintaining records and documentation are advantageous. A valid driving licence is desirable for transporting residents when needed. Excellent interpersonal skills with a genuine passion for providing compassionate care. Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being self-motivated.
