Job Description

Care Assistant wanted to join a supportive team at our 22 bed residential home in Westcliff-on-Sea.

Days only (unless unforeseen events arise) with a rotation of shifts over 7 days a week including bank holidays and weekends.

Shift times:

Day 07:00 start 20:15 finish
Night 20:00 start 07:15 finish
Overtime is often available but it is not compulsory or guaranteed

Main Responsibilities

Assisting clients with personal care tasks, including washing, dressing, toileting, and grooming. Supporting clients with mobility and helping them move around safely. Preparing and serving meals, and assisting with feeding if required. Administering or prompting medication in line with care plans (after suitable training). Providing companionship and emotional support, engaging in conversation, and promoting social activities. Assisting with domestic tasks such as cleaning, laundry, and shopping. Monitoring clients' health and well being, reporting any changes or concerns to supervisors or health professionals. Maintaining accurate records of care provided and following confidentiality guidelines.

Qualifications:

Level 2 and Care Certificate desired but not essential. Other necessary In-house training will be provided.
