Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to patients in various settings, including home care and care homes. Your primary responsibility will be to assist with daily living activities, ensuring the comfort and well-being of those in your care. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills and a strong commitment to delivering high-quality care.

Responsibilities

Assist patients with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming. Support individuals with mobility and physical activities as needed. Help in the preparation and administration of care plans tailored to each patient's needs. Communicate effectively with patients, their families, and healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care. Maintain accurate records of patient progress and report any changes in condition to the appropriate personnel. Drive to various locations as required for home visits or appointments. Ensure a clean and safe environment for patients by adhering to health and safety regulations.

Requirements

Previous experience in home care or a similar role is preferred but not essential. Strong IT skills for maintaining patient records and documentation. Proficiency in English, both written and verbal, is necessary for effective communication. Ability to understand and implement care plans accurately. Experience working in a care home setting is advantageous. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to empathise with patients and their families. A valid driving licence is preferred for roles requiring travel between locations.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: 11.44-20.32 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 40 per week
