Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to patients in a variety of settings, including care homes and home care environments. Your primary focus will be to assist individuals with daily living activities, ensuring their comfort and well-being while promoting independence. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills and a commitment to delivering high-quality care.

Responsibilities

Assist patients with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming. Support individuals in following their care plans to achieve optimal health outcomes. Monitor and report changes in patients' conditions to the healthcare team. Help with mobility and physical activities, ensuring safety at all times. Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients by adhering to hygiene standards. Document patient progress and any relevant information accurately in IT systems. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care. Drive to various locations as required for home care visits.

Skills

Experience or knowledge of care plans is advantageous. Proficient IT skills for documentation and communication purposes. Strong command of English to ensure clear communication with patients and colleagues. Excellent interpersonal skills to build rapport with patients and their families. Ability to drive is preferred for home care roles. Previous experience in home care or care home settings is desirable but not essential.

Pay: 12.22-12.30 per hour

Expected hours: 24 - 48 per week
