Job Summary



Friary House Residential Home is a small dementia registered home in Weymouth. We have a wonderful mix of residents with varying needs and varying levels of independence. We have a warm and welcoming team of staff and we are looking for a
friendly, reliable and happy individual to come and join our team.

We are seeking somebody to work various shifts including 8am - 2pm / 2pm
-6pm and 6pm-10pm shifts, approximately 25 hours per week to include
alternate weekends.

We pay above average hourly rates plus the addition of overtime rates
and double pay for shifts covered at short notice.

No experience necessary as full training and opportunity to work towards
qualifications provided.

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will provide essential support to patients in a care home setting. This role involves assisting with daily living activities, ensuring the well-being of our residents and contributing to the implementation of care plans. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, a good command of English, and the ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team.

Duties



Assist residents with daily living activities, including personal hygiene and mobility support. Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care. Support the implementation of individualised care plans tailored to each resident's needs. Maintain accurate records of residents' progress and report any changes in condition to management. Ensure a safe and clean environment for residents by adhering to health and safety regulations. Participate in training sessions and continuous professional development opportunities.

Requirements



Previous experience in home care or a similar healthcare setting is desirable but not essential. Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with residents and their families. Proficient in English, both spoken and written. Basic IT skills for maintaining residents records and documentation. A caring attitude with a commitment to providing high-quality care. Ability to work as part of a team while also being capable of working independently when required.
