Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. This role involves providing high-quality support to individuals in care homes and home care settings, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, be proficient in IT, and have a genuine desire to make a positive difference in people's lives. Previous experience in care environments and driving skills are advantageous but not essential.

Duties

Assist residents or clients with daily activities such as personal care, mobility, and medication reminders Support the implementation of individualised care plans tailored to each person's needs Maintain accurate records of care provided using IT systems Communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care delivery Assist with organising activities and social engagement to promote well-being Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance the quality of life for those in your care Support with light domestic tasks within the care environment or clients' homes as required Drive clients or residents safely to appointments or activities when necessary

Requirements

Good communication skills in English, both written and verbal Basic IT literacy for maintaining accurate documentation and care plans Experience working within a care home or home care setting is desirable but not essential; training will be provided Valid driving licence is preferred to facilitate transportation duties Compassionate nature with a professional attitude towards patient confidentiality and dignity Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently when required Flexibility to adapt to different shifts and client needs

Pay: 12.21-14.00 per hour
