Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Worker to provide essential support to individuals in need of assistance with daily living activities. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to enhancing the quality of life for seniors and individuals requiring care, including those with dementia or in hospice settings. As a Care Worker, you will play a vital role in ensuring the comfort, safety, and well-being of our clients within their homes or assisted living environments.

Duties

Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming. Provide meal preparation and ensure proper nutrition for clients. Administer medication as prescribed and monitor clients for any side effects or changes in condition. Offer companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive environment. Assist with mobility and transfers, ensuring safety during movement. Maintain a clean and safe living environment for clients by performing light housekeeping duties. Document care provided and report any changes in client condition to the appropriate healthcare professionals. Provide specialised care for clients with dementia or those receiving hospice care, ensuring dignity and respect at all times.

Qualifications

Previous experience in home care or senior care is preferred . Knowledge of first aid practices is advantageous. Ability to prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals. A caring attitude and a genuine desire to help others. Certification in medication administration is beneficial but not mandatory; training will be provided. Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as required. Enhanced DBS.
