Job Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to patients in the Nursing Home. Your responsibilities will include assisting with daily living activities, implementing care plans, and ensuring the comfort and well-being of those in your care. Strong communication skills and a commitment to delivering high-quality care are vital for success in this position.

Duties

Assist patients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility. Support the implementation of individual care plans tailored to each patient's needs. Monitor and report changes in patients' conditions to the healthcare team. Provide companionship and emotional support to patients, fostering a positive environment. Maintain accurate records of patient care and progress. Ensure a clean and safe environment for patients by adhering to health and safety protocols.

Requirements

Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is preferred but not essential. Proficiency in English is required for effective communication with patients and team members. Communication in Welsh is desirable but not essential. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with patients, families, and healthcare professionals. A compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others is essential. Ability to work flexible hours as needed to meet patient requirements.

Pay: 12.21 per hour

Expected hours: 44 per week
