We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to individuals in home care settings. This position requires a commitment to supporting the well-being of our clients while ensuring their dignity and comfort are maintained at all times.
Duties
Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and meal preparation.
Support the implementation of care plans tailored to each individual's needs, ensuring that all aspects of their care are met.
Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive and encouraging environment.
Maintain accurate records of client progress and report any changes in health or behaviour to the supervising nurse or manager.
Assist with mobility and transportation needs, including driving clients to appointments when necessary.
Ensure that the care environment is clean, safe, and welcoming for all clients.
Skills
Proficient in English, both spoken and written, to effectively communicate with clients and team members.
Strong communication skills to build rapport with clients, families, and healthcare professionals.
Basic IT skills for maintaining records and communicating via electronic systems.
Experience in a care home or home care setting is desirable but not essential; training will be provided.
