We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to individuals in care homes and home care settings, ensuring their comfort and well-being. You will work closely with healthcare professionals to implement care plans and assist with daily living activities. Strong communication skills and a commitment to high-quality care are essential for success in this position.
Responsibilities
Assist residents with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
Support individuals in their daily activities, promoting independence and dignity.
Implement care plans as directed by healthcare professionals, ensuring that individual needs are met.
Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes in the resident's condition.
Communicate effectively with residents, families, and other team members to ensure a cohesive approach to care.
Drive to various locations as required for home care visits or training sessions.
Utilise IT systems for documentation and communication purposes.
Requirements
Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is preferred but not essential.
A valid driving licence is advantageous for home visits.
Proficient in English, both written and spoken, to ensure clear communication with residents and colleagues.
Strong IT skills for maintaining records and using electronic care systems.
Excellent communication skills, demonstrating empathy and understanding towards residents' needs.
