Job Type: Bank Hours, Full time & Part time contracts available Location: Charnwood, Leicester and surrounding areas in Leicestershire

Hourly Rate: 13 - 14.50 per hour

We are looking for a Support Worker to work shifts including: days, evenings and nights (sleep-ins and/or waking nights).

Scarlet Care is committed to delivering person-centred services to the individuals we support. You will be working within a small friendly team of staff providing the best support to adults with varying health conditions such as:

Mental Health, Sensory impairments, Learning and/or Physical Disabilities, People who misuse drugs and alcohol, Eating disorders, Dementia etc.

We need you to be flexible, willing to learn and to provide the best service to an individual with diverse conditions to live a fulfilling life.

Duties:

Assist in personal care (if needed), feeding and dressing appropriately. Participate in household tasks e.g. cooking, cleaning etc, as well as support residents to keep their own rooms clean where possible, promoting their independence. Preparation and serving of food as part of a nutritional diet whilst adhering to food hygiene standards. Accompanying on visits to healthcare professionals when necessary e.g. doctor, dentist. Community Access - Actively involved the service users' leisure, encourage and assist service users to use local facilities where possible. Recording details accurately in Care Plans, diaries and cash books of activities and events and passing on relevant information verbally to other staff. Report to registered manager regarding changes to the services users health or circumstances. Facilitate and support any contact the service user has with family and friends in the way that helps them most. Administering and keeping a record of any prescribed medications.

Requirements:

At least 6 months of previous care experience (Desirable) Full UK Driving Licence (Desirable) NVQ Level 2 Health & Social Care (Desirable) All candidates must have the Right to Work in the UK (Essential)

Enhanced DBS Certificate

(Essential) Strong English and Communication Skills 2 Professional references (Essential)
All successful candidates will be subject to pre-employment checks including an enhanced Disclosure and Barring check (DBS).
