Job Overview:

We are seeking a compassionate and reliable Support Worker / Care Worker to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will assist individuals with their daily needs, promote independence, and provide person-centred care to ensure the highest quality of support and well-being.

Responsibilities:

Support individuals with personal care, including washing, dressing, and toileting (where required) Assist with meal preparation, feeding, and maintaining good nutrition and hydration Encourage and support service users to participate in social, recreational, and community activities Promote independence, dignity, and respect in all aspects of care Monitor and report changes in the physical, emotional, or social well-being of individuals to the senior team Assist with light household tasks to maintain a safe and comfortable environment Follow care plans and ensure accurate record-keeping in line with policies and procedures Work collaboratively with colleagues, families, and healthcare professionals to deliver consistent, high-quality care

Requirements:

Previous experience in a care or support role -

required

PVG and SSSC - required

Good communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work flexibly, including evenings, weekends, or night shifts if required Willingness to undertake mandatory training and continuous professional development Basic knowledge of health and safety and safeguarding practices

Mandatory Trainings - required

Enhanced DBS on the Update Service - required

Nice-to-Have Skills:

NVQ Level 2/3 in Health and Social Care or equivalent qualification Experience working in residential care, supported living, or community settings Knowledge of infection control, moving and handling, and first aid procedures
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: 12.10-12.50 per hour
