We are looking for a compassionate and committed Healthcare Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will play an essential role in delivering high-quality care to patients across both home care and care home environments. In this position, you will support individuals with their daily living activities, ensuring their comfort, safety, and overall well-being while encouraging independence.
For convenience and effective service delivery, candidates located in or near the Epsom/KT postcode area are preferred.
Duties
Assist patients with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
Support individuals in daily living activities such as meal preparation, medication management, and mobility assistance.
Develop and maintain care plans in collaboration with healthcare professionals to ensure tailored support for each patient.
Communicate effectively with patients, families, and team members to provide updates on patient progress and any concerns.
Drive to various locations as required to deliver care services in home care settings.
Maintain accurate records of patient interactions and report any changes in health status to the appropriate healthcare personnel.
Ensure a safe and clean environment for patients by adhering to hygiene standards and protocols.
Experience
Previous experience in a healthcare or caring role is preferred but not essential; training will be provided.
Strong communication skills in English are necessary for effective interaction with patients and team members.
Familiarity with IT systems for maintaining patient records is advantageous.
Experience in developing or following care plans is beneficial.
A valid driving licence is preferred for roles involving home visits.
A background in home care or working within a care home setting would be an asset.
