Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to individuals in care homes and home care settings, assisting with daily living activities and ensuring the well-being of our clients. Your ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively with healthcare professionals will be vital in delivering high-quality care.

Responsibilities

Assist clients with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming. Support clients in maintaining their independence by encouraging participation in daily activities. Help with the preparation and administration of care plans tailored to individual needs. Maintain accurate records of client progress and report any changes to the healthcare team. Drive clients to appointments or social activities as required, ensuring their safety during transport. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care. Utilise IT systems for documentation and communication purposes effectively. Foster a warm and supportive environment for clients, promoting their dignity and respect.

Requirements

Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is preferred but not essential. Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written. Ability to drive is advantageous for transporting clients as needed. Basic IT skills for record keeping and communication purposes. A compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others. Ability to work as part of a team while also being self-motivated when required.
