Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care to residents in a care home setting, ensuring their comfort and well-being. This position requires strong communication skills, a good understanding of care plans, and the ability to work effectively in both home care and care home environments. A valid driving licence is preferred, as some duties may involve transportation.

Responsibilities

Assist residents with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility. Support the implementation of individual care plans tailored to each resident's needs. Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes in residents' conditions to the nursing staff. Engage residents in social and recreational activities to promote their emotional well-being. Ensure a clean and safe environment for all residents by adhering to health and safety protocols. Communicate effectively with residents, families, and other healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care. Utilise IT systems for documentation and communication purposes.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a healthcare or caring role is desirable but not essential. A good command of English is required for effective communication with residents and colleagues. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with residents and their families. Basic IT skills for maintaining records and using healthcare software. A valid driving licence is advantageous for roles that require transportation of residents or supplies. A genuine passion for providing high-quality care and support to individuals in need.
