Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care to residents in care home setting's and or community care. This position requires effective communication skills, the ability to follow care plans, and a commitment to enhancing the well-being of individuals in our care. A background in home care or experience within a care home environment is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

Assist residents with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility support. Follow individual care plans to ensure personalised and effective support for each resident. Communicate effectively with residents, their families, and other healthcare professionals to provide updates on health and well-being. Maintain accurate records of care provided and any changes in residents' conditions. Support residents in social activities and encourage participation to enhance their quality of life. Ensure that the care environment is safe, clean, and welcoming at all times. Drive residents to appointments or activities as required, ensuring their comfort and safety during transport.

Experience

Previous experience as a Healthcare Assistant or in a similar role within a care home or home care setting is preferred. Strong IT skills for maintaining records and communicating effectively within the team. Proficient in English with excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being able to work independently when required. A valid driving licence is advantageous for transporting residents when necessary.

Pay: 13.40-14.50 per hour

Expected hours: 6 - 50 per week
