Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to residents in a care home setting or within home care environments. This position requires strong communication skills, a commitment to patient wellbeing, and the ability to work collaboratively with healthcare professionals.

Duties

As a Healthcare Assistant, your responsibilities will include:

Assisting residents with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility. Supporting the implementation of care plans tailored to individual needs. Monitoring and documenting changes in residents' health and wellbeing. Providing companionship and emotional support to residents. Assisting with meal preparation and feeding as necessary. Maintaining a clean and safe environment for residents. Communicating effectively with team members and families regarding resident care. Driving to provide home care services when required.

Experience

Candidates should possess:

Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is preferred but not essential. A good command of English, both spoken and written, to ensure effective communication with residents and colleagues. Basic IT skills for documentation and reporting purposes. Strong interpersonal skills to foster positive relationships with residents and their families. A valid driving licence is advantageous for roles involving home visits.
